DENVER – Two University of Denver gymnastics meets will be featured on live ESPN broadcasts during the 2022 season, ESPN announced on Thursday.
Denver's regular season meet at Oklahoma on Sunday, January 30, will air on ESPN at 3 p.m. MT. DU will also seek to defend its Big 12 Conference title when it hosts the 2022 Big 12 Gymnastics Championship, which is set for a primetime broadcast on ESPNU at 5 p.m. MT.
This is the fourth year in a row that DU has been featured in at least one ESPN broadcast. In 2020, Denver versus Oklahoma was featured on ESPNU during the regular season, and the Big 12 Championship has been televised on an ESPN network every year since 2019 (with the exception of 2020 when the conference championship was not held due to the COVID-19 pandemic).
Denver also made appearances on ESPN2 and ESPNU during its historic run at the 2019 NCAA National Championships where DU placed a record-setting fourth overall in the program's first-ever appearance in the NCAA Championship Final.
ESPN and ABC will carry coverage of the NCAA postseason for the season straight year, starting with ESPN3 and ESPN+ streams from all four NCAA Regionals sites on March 30 – April 2. The national semifinal meets will be live on ESPN2 with the championship final again slated for ABC.
Denver opens its 2022 campaign on Sunday, January 9, when DU hosts San Jose State in Magness Arena.
Season tickets are now on sale for all five Denver regular season home meets. Information about tickets for the 2022 Big 12 Championship in Magness Arena will be announced in the coming weeks.
