No. 3 Seed Pioneers set for Summit League Tournament

Denver to play No. 6 seed South Dakota State on Thursday at 6 p.m. MT

  • This is the 20th meeting in the all-time series against South Dakota State.

  • Bartalo continued her historic career with the Pioneers, becoming just the third player in the program's DI era (1998-pres.) to record at least 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs on Nov. 13 at South Dakota State.
  • Lorrin Poulter notched her 1,000th career assists against Kansas City on Nov. 18.
  • Ellie Anderson made history earlier this season, recording her 2,500th career assist, just the fifth player in the Division I era (1998-pres.) to hit the mark in program history.
  • Bartalo reached the 1,000-career kills milestone on Oct. 16, becoming just the 11th player in Division I era (1998-pres.) to accomplish the feat.
  • Hogan enters his sixth season in charge of the Pioneers.
  • Hogan has a career record of 133-35 (.791).
  • Hogan's .791 winning percentage is the highest by a head coach in program history.
  • Hogan picked up his third Summit League Coach of the Year award in the spring of 2021.
  • Entering 2021 season, Denver has the 19th best win percentage (.786) in all of Division I, with a record of 110-30 in the last five years.
  • The Crimson and Gold have won five of the last six Summit League Tournament Championships.
  • The Pioneers finished first in the Summit League with a 13-2 record and .866 winning percentage last year, including posting the first unbeaten road record in school history.

Summit League Preseason Poll
  • Denver was picked second in the Summit League Preseason Poll and received four first-place votes by the coaches on Aug. 25.
  • Graduate student Ellie Anderson and Brianna Green were tabbed as "Players to Watch" by the league.
