LARAMIE, WYO. – The University of Denver men's basketball team couldn't hold off a hot second-half Wyoming team on Thursday, falling 77-64 in Arena-Auditorium.

Significant Stats:
- The Cowboys have now won the last three meetings in the all-time series.
- The Crimson and Gold held Wyoming to 5-for-21 from deep in the contest.
- DU was out-rebounded by 11 in the game, only the second time all season they have been out-rebounded by double digits.
- The Pioneers had 11 turnovers on the night, second lowest total of the season.
Turning Point:
Wyoming starting the second half on a 30-16 run to take a double-digit lead at 68-57.
As it Happened:
First Half:
Denver opened with a 5-0 to start, highlighted by Johnson's 3 on the first possession. Wyoming immediately countered with an 8-0 run taking its first lead of the night after a Drake Jefferies 3. The Pioneers were able go retake the lead after a 3 from Henn made it 10-8. The Cowboys can some baskets down in the post form Graham Ike to take a four-point lead at 20-16 midway through the opening 20 minutes. The Crimson and Gold climbed back to within one after a 3 from
Coban Porter at the 9:59, his first points of the game. Wyoming made its move in the half, responding to the Porter 3-pointer with an 8-0 run to push its lead to nine at 28-19. Trailing 34-24, DU came to life in the final 10 minutes, closing the half with a 17-4 run to take a 41-38 lead at the break, highlighted by some big plays from Henn, Porter and Johnson.
Second Half:
The Cowboys started the second half fast, scoring the first seven points to go up 46-41, forcing Denver to take a timeout. Wyoming held the five-point lead going into at the under-12 media, 53-48. The Cowboys pushed their lead back into double digits at 61-51 after a post score from Ike. The play of Ike proved too much the rest of the way as the Cowboys maintained the double-digit lead, going on to get the victory and remain unbeaten on the season.
