The Denver Pioneers women's tennis team fell 4-2 to the Kansas State Wildcats on Saturday at Body First Tennis Center in Manhattan, Kansas.

Kansas State's advantage grew to 3-0 following the conclusion of straight-set singles wins at #4 and #6. Senior
Anna Riedmiller cut the deficit to 3-1 with a come-from-behind 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 win at #2, then Pursell brought it to 3-2 with a 6-1, 6-2 win at #3. Â Melville made a run at tying the match but ultimately fell 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 at #1 to clinch the match for the Wildcats.

Denver looks ahead to four straight home matches beginning with a matchup on Saturday, Feb. 20 vs. BYU at the Denver Tennis Park.
