In a game moved on Friday down to Air Force's indoor facility due to the forecasted single digit temperatures, Denver's offense was hot early, racing out to a 9-2 lead in the first half en-route to a 15-6 win against their in-state rivals.

Denver leads the series 8-2 against its BIG EAST foe, having won each of the last three and four of the last five. In 2019, Denver pulled out a one-goal victory in Milwaukee, a year after beating Marquette in both the regular season (7-4) and in the BIG EAST Semifinal (10-7).

- Head coach Bill Tierney is in his 12th season with the Pioneers, holding a 138-45 record at DU and a 410-138 career record in his 37th season.
- Denver is fifth in senior class wins (2017-21) with 42, nine behind national leaders Duke.
- Yale transfer Jackson Morrill has recorded a point in 60-straight games, recording 226 points (114-112) during the stretch. Morrill's point streak ranks first nationally.

- Denver's 58 shots in its game on Feb. 13 was its first 55+ shot game since shooting 57 times on March 28, 2015 against Georgetown (won 19-7).
- Alec Stathakis was named the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week on Tuesday after going 17-for-21 from the faceoff dot with 13 ground balls.Â
