[45] Denver Heads to Wichita State for Two Matches

The Pioneers will take on Wichita State Saturday (11 a.m. MT) and UT Arlington Sunday (10 a.m. MT) in Wichita

DENVER - The [45] University of Denver men's tennis program will head to Wichita, Kansas, this weekend for a pair of matches. Denver will open the trip against the hosts Wichita State Saturday at 11 a.m. MT before taking on UT Arlington in a neutral site match on Sunday at 10 a.m. MT.

Denver has played two matches this month with a 7-0 win against Metro State on March 1 and 4-2 win at New Mexico on March 12. The Pioneers are riding an eight-match winning streak with their only losses this season coming against ranked competition, No. 6 TCU and No. 12 Wake Forest.

Freshman Peter Sallay has been among the Pioneers most consistent singles players lately with a six-match winning streak at No. 4. Last weekend, the Budapest, Hungary native showed great reliance in his 7-5, 4-6, 7-6 (8-6) victory vs. Sergio Molina of New Mexico to keep Denver's streak winning alive. James Davis/Matt Summers have the Pioneers' best doubles mark with a 6-3 record.

UP NEXT:
Denver will open Summit League play next weekend with a trip to Oral Roberts (April 2).
