WICHITA, Kan. – The [45] University of Denver men's tennis team came up short against Wichita State in the first of the Pioneers' two matches this weekend, finishing 2-5 against the Shockers on Saturday.
DOUBLES
DU's doubles teams suffered one-break losses to trail the Shockers 0-1 with
Matt Summers/
James Davis finishing 4-6 to WSU's Marius Frosa/Murkel Dellien, and
Ignacio Rivero Crespo/
Nicolas Herrero Cuesta losing 3-6 to Nicolas Acevedo/Stefan Latinovic.
SINGLES
Summers notched DU's first point of the day with a 6-4 7-5 victory over Latinovic. Herrero Cuesta came out on top in a tightly-contested match against Luka Mrsic, splitting the first two sets 3-6 7-5 but winning the third-set tiebreak 10-8.

The University of Denver men's tennis team will wrap up its two-matchup weekend by facing off against UT Arlington in a neutral site meeting in Wichita on Sunday, March 28, at 10 a.m. MT.
