SAN DIEGO. – The University of Denver men's golf team got a standout performance from senior Jackson Solem on Tuesday at the Lamkin San Diego Classic. The senior fired a 3-under 69 to move into a tie for second place through 36 holes of action.

Course Info:

- Par 71 for the course
- 7,033 yards

Significant Stats:
- UCLA jumped up three spots to take the team lead at 1-under, nine strokes ahead of Nevada.
- The Pioneers sit in 13th with a team total of 598 (22-over).

Inside the Round for the Pioneers:
- Solem made his move, rising up 15 spots on the leaderboard to put himself in contention going into Wednesday with a 3-under round. The Longmont, Colo. native recorded four birdies and an eagle in the round.
- Carson Griggs moved up seven places to be tied for 58th at 8-over.
- Esteban Missura sits tied for 70th at 10-over.
- Carson Griggs shot an 83 to put him in a tie for 83rd.
- Cal McCoy finished up tied for 91st.
