FORT WORTH, Texas – University of Denver gymnast Lynnzee Brown (Kansas City, Mo.) finished in the top 10 on three events in the final individual event standings at the NCAA National Gymnastics Championships on Friday.
 
Individual results are determined after scores from both NCAA national semifinal meets are combined. Brown competed in the first semifinal, scoring a 9.900 or higher on three events – bars, beam and floor – and those scores finished in the top 10 overall after the conclusion of the second semifinal on Friday night.
 
FINAL STANDINGS
Floor: Seventh (tie) – 9.9375
Bars: Ninth (tie) – 9.900
Beam: 10^th (tie) – 9.9125
All-Around: 22^nd – 39.0875
Vault: 56^th – 9.3375
 
Brown matched on her own record for most top-10 finishes at NCAA Nationals in program history. She also finished in the top 10 three times in 2019 after placing first on floor and tying for ninth on bars, as well as sixth in the all-around.
 
All three of her final placements on Friday are near the top of the Denver record books. Her tie for 10^th on beam is the second-highest a DU gymnast has placed on the event at NCAA Nationals. Her tie for ninth on bars is the third-best finish in program history, and her tie for seventh on floor is DU's fourth-highest national finish.
 
In total, she has now placed in the top 15 at NCAA Nationals seven times in her three career appearances.
 
She also collected Postseason All-American honors on the three events, as determined by her finishes in the first semifinal.
 
WRAPPING UP
Brown's performance on Friday concludes the University of Denver gymnastics team's season that saw DU capture its first-ever Big 12 Championship and finish ranked in the top 10 nationally for the third-straight year.
