Denver Sees Five Seniors Selected in 2021 PLL Draft

Ierlan, Logan, Squires, Walker and Morrill all heard their name called on Monday night
BRISTOL, Conn. – The University of Denver men's lacrosse team had five players selected in Monday night's Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) Draft. Denver had the most players selected out of any program in Monday night's draft.

Since joining the Pioneers on March 27 for Denver's win at Providence, Ierlan has gone 49-64 from the faceoff dot, picking up 31 ground balls on his 49 wins. Ierlan entered his Denver career with NCAA records in ground balls in a game (29), ground balls in a season (293), ground balls in a career (now 841), faceoff wins in a season (393) and faceoff wins in a career (now 1208).
Logan enters Wednesday's regular season finale with 68 career games played, tallying 35 points on 20 goals and 15 assists from his SSDM position. The Ohio native has picked up 177 ground balls and forced 46 turnovers. His ground ball total sits eighth in Denver's DI history, while his CT total ranks fourth.
Squires has been a lock down defender for the Crimson and Gold, starting his last 44 games he's appeared in for Bill Tierney's squad. He has picked up 82 ground balls and forced 26 turnovers, including a career-high 28 ground balls in his grad senior season in 2021.
Walker holds Denver's career points and assists records and is 20 goals behind future Waterdogs teammate Wes Berg for Denver's career goals record. A four-year starter for Matt Brown's offense, Walker has 262 points on 168 goals and 94 assists in 66 career games. Walker has six game-winning goals, 12 man-up tallies, 103 ground balls and seven caused turnovers in the Denver ride.
Morrill ranks second in Yale's record book in career points with 220 and fifth in goals with 113 after his four-year career in New Haven. The Baltimore native transferred to Denver this fall, and currently leads the Pioneers in points with 55 and assists with 30. Among active NCAA players, Morrill is 14th in career goals (138), third in points (275) and fifth in assists (137).
Up Next: The University of Denver men's lacrosse team, presented by Your Front Range Toyota Stores, will close out the 2021 regular season on Wednesday with a trip to Villanova. Faceoff is set for 12 p.m. ET/10 a.m. MT. The game will be streamed live on Villanova's website and broadcast live on ESPN Denver 1600.
