DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis program continued its hot run of form with a 7-0 win over Omaha on Saturday morning at the Denver Tennis Park. Denver's win was its fifth-straight and its eighth in the last nine matches.
The 59th ranked doubles tandem of Camille Verden-Anderson and Britt Pursell pulled out a 6-3 win and Tatum Burger and Anna Riedmiller earned a 6-0 result on court No. 2 to seal the doubles point.
In singles 116th-ranked Riedmiller won her 10th-straight singles match, 6-3, 7-5, to lead a Pioneers squad that earned six straight-set wins in singles on Saturday. Taylor Melville got it done on the No. 2 court 6-1, 6-0.
The rest of the way, Pursell won her eighth straight, 6-2, 6-4 on court three, Verden-Anderson won 6-1, 6-0, Hada Chang won 6-1, 6-2 and Toni Nelson earned the sixth-singles win by a count of 6-3, 6-2.
Denver improved to 2-0 in Summit League play and 8-3 overall.
