Zanusso Qualifies for National Championships; Pios Finish 10th

Sophomore tied for seventh overall, and finished in a tie for second amongst players from non-qualifying teams to advance
STANFORD, CALIF. – Anna Zanusso became the first University of Denver women's golfer to qualify for the National Championships since Tonje Daffinrud finished 10th at the 2014 NCAA Championships, carding an even-par 71 in the final round of the NCAA Stanford Regional to finish in a tie for sixth on the individual leaderboard Wednesday at the Stanford Golf Course.
Zanusso finished in a tie for second among players not on one of the qualifying teams to book her ticket to Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., later this month (May 21-23).
The 40th-ranked Pioneers finished 10th as a team in the 18-team regional, their regional seed heading into this week's competition. Denver shot a 12-over 296 in Wednesday's final round to wrap-up the tournament at 26-over par, 18 strokes off the team cutline.

- Zanusso followed up her eagle on No. 1 on Tuesday with a birdie on the scorecard for the hole on Wednesday. She played the next two holes at two-over before birdies on 12 and 17 and a bogey at 18 evened out her scorecard for the afternoon.
- Camille Enright played the final round with a 3-over 74 to finish in a tie for 52nd at the 95-player regional.
- Alyson Bean and Mary Weinstein tied for 57th at 11-over, with final round scores of 76 and 75, respectively.
- Katarina Drocarova wrapped-up the tournament in a tie for 78th
