DENVER – The [RV/23] University of Denver women's soccer program will continue a season-opening five-match homestand this Thursday when the Pioneers welcome Utah to the University of Denver Soccer Stadium for a 7 p.m. MT kickoff.

For the 2021 season, the University of Denver announced the creation of a new DU soccer fan club called "Denver FC". Fans that purchase the Denver FC package will get season tickets to all Denver men's and women's soccer home games, a Denver FC scarf and a season parking pass for all Denver Soccer home events.

Last Time Out:
Denver outshot Colorado State 15-8 and 9-2 in shots on target in regulation, but needed an extra time rocket from
Jordan Crockett to win its first Colorado Cup since 2013 after a 1-0 result over Colorado State on Sunday afternoon at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
Riley Baker came the closest to finding the back of the net in the 80
th minute, but a foul was whistled in the build-up that negated the goal.
Denver vs. Utah Series History:
Denver is 0-2 all-time against Utah. Thursday will be the first meeting between the two programs in Denver, and the first since 2005. The Pioneers lost 3-1 at Wake Forest in September of 2004 and 1-0 in Salt Lake in September of 2005.
Notable Stats:
- Denver has scored six goals from six different players in its first two matches of the 2021 season.
- Sami Feller leads the Pioneers with two assists, one of six players to record a helper in the campaign.
- On Sunday's Crockett game-winner, Natalie Beckman distributed her 30th career assist and 62nd career point to move her into a tie with current volunteer assistant Katie Hooker (Antongiovanni) for 12th on Denver's career points list.
Returning Starters:
Denver returned nine starters on Sunday afternoon that featured in
Jeff Hooker's Starting XI just three months ago.
Taylor Wells featured in place of
Meg Halvorson and
Addisyn Hyrup played outside back in place of
Alex Nillen in the opener
. Riley Baker replaced Wells in the Sunday matinee.
What's Next:
Following Thursday's contest, Denver will have a week off before welcoming Kansas State to the University of Denver Soccer Stadium on September 2 at 7 p.m. MT. Denver will close out the season-opening five-match home stand on Monday, September 6, when the Pioneers host SMU for a 2 p.m. MT Labor Day kickoff.
