DENVER – The University of Denver women's soccer program will continue a season-opening five-match homestand this Thursday when the Pioneers (3-0-0) welcome Kansas State (3-1-0) to the University of Denver Soccer Stadium for a 7 p.m. MT kickoff.

For the 2021 season, the University of Denver announced the creation of a new DU soccer fan club called "Denver FC". Fans that purchase the Denver FC package will get season tickets to all Denver men's and women's soccer home games, a Denver FC scarf and a season parking pass for all Denver Soccer home events.

Last Time Out:
After a sluggish start against Colorado State two games ago, the Pioneers were ready from the opening whistle last Thursday in a 3-0 victory over Utah at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
Ella Frost and
Vanessa Murray got their first career goals for the Crimson and Gold in the victory, while
Sydney Sharp became the first Pioneer to score multiple goals this season.
Denver vs. Kansas State Series History:
Thursday will mark the first NCAA Division I meeting between the two programs.
Notable Stats:
- Denver has scored nine goals from eight different players to start the 2021 season. This spring's leading scorers Natalie Beckman and Sami Feller haven't found the back of the net, but the duo are the only Pioneers with multiple assists in the early stages of the fall campaign.
- Denver had 10 different goal scorers in the spring season,
- Career Points Record Update: Feller has 69 career points, putting her one point off eighth in Denver's Division I history. Beckman has 64 career points, four points off cracking the top-10.
- Career Assists Record Update: Beckman has 32 career assists, four points off Kristen Hamilton's 36 career assists and seven points off co-record holders Nicholette DiGiacomo and Jamie Norwood.
Returning Starters:
Denver returned nine starters last Thursday night that featured in
Jeff Hooker's Starting XI just three months ago.
Taylor Wells featured in place of
Meg Halvorson and
Addisyn Hyrup played outside back in place of
Alex Nillen in the opener
. Riley Baker replaced Wells in the Sunday matinee of the opening weekend and
Jadyn Goodrich replaced Baker in the Starting XI last week against Utah.
What's Next:
Denver will close out the season-opening five-match home stand on Monday, September 6, when the Pioneers host SMU for a 2 p.m. MT Labor Day kickoff. The Pioneers will then have a quick turnaround before they head to Grand Canyon for a weekend tournament in Phoenix.
