- This is the second meeting all-time against Incarnate Word.
- The Pioneers won the only time prior to this match, 3-1 back on Aug. 30, 2014.
- This is the fourth meeting against the Hawkeyes.
- Denver leads the series 2-1, with the teams last meeting in Denver on Sept. 6, 2009, a 3-0 Pioneer victory.

- Pioneers are coming off a 2-0 week in after hosting the Thin Air Challenge last weekend.
