Zanusso Goes Low as Pios Third on Day 1 at Rapsodo Match in the Desert

SUPERSTITION MOUNTAIN, Ariz. – The University of Denver Women's Golf team got a good start to the spring season, finishing up day one of the Rapsodo Match in the Desert on Sunday. The Pioneers posted a team score of 285, 3-under.

- 7 teams
Significant Stats:
- Five of the seven teams are ranked in the top 25 in the most recent Golfstat rankings.
- No. 20 Arizona State is in the lead at 10-under, four strokes ahead of second-ranked Oklahoma State.
- The Sun Devils' Alexandria Forsterling had the low round of the day, shooting a 66 (2-under) to take a two-shot lead into Monday.
Inside the Round for the Pioneers:
- Anna Zanusso picked up where she left off from the fall, coming out and shooting a 3-under 69 to finish tied in fifth.
- Katarina Drocarova went 2-under on the day, putting her in a tie for seventh.
- Anna Krekling fired a 1-under 71, placing her in a tie for 10th on the leader board.
- Alyson Bean closed out her round tied for 30th.
- Trussy Li ended the round tied for 40th.
- Emma Bryant, competing as an individual, tied for 18th at even par.
