SAN DIEGO – The University of Denver men's tennis team opened up the San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic, hosted by the University of San Diego and the U.S. Naval Academy, with three wins in four doubles matches on Friday.
Freshman
Danilo Raicevic and sophomore
Relja Eskic combined for two doubles victories, both 6-3 over UC Irvine's Enrique Luque Rico/Brandon Park and Navy's Gavin Seagraves/Finn Garner.
Junior
Charlie Miller and graduate student
Conner Olsen dropped their first doubles match to Matthew Sah and Noah Zamora from UC Irvine, but they rebounded for a 7-5 win over Navy's Sasha Panyan and Luke Garner.
Raicevic finished his day with a hard-fought battle in singles against Lambert Ruland of San Diego but ultimately fell in three sets.

The San Diego Veterans Tennis Classic continues on Saturday with the final round of doubles against San Diego beginning at 9 a.m. PT/10 a.m. MT and round two of singles against California-Irvine at 1:30 p.m. PT/2:30 p.m. MT.
