DENVER  – The University of Denver women's basketball program will open the 2022-23 season on Monday night when the Pioneers welcome Air Force to Hamilton Gymnasium. Opening tip is set for 7:30 p.m. MT, or 30 minutes following the conclusion of the Denver men's basketball season opener against Idaho, set to tip at 5 p.m. MT. Both Denver basketball games to open the season will be broadcast live on Altitude 2.

SERIES HISTORY:
Denver has a 17-3 edge in the series history with the Falcons, including 8-2 in the last 10 games between the two programs. Air Force took the second of two meetings during the COVID-19 season and won the season opener between the two programs at the Academy a year ago.
 
LEADERSHIP GROUP:
On November 1, third-year head coach Doshia Woods announced her inaugural leadership group ahead of the 2022-23 campaign. Denver's leadership group consists of graduate student forward Mikayla Brandon, graduate student guard Ally Haar, senior forward Makayla Minett, freshman guard Emma Smith and sophomore guard Mary Wilson.
