DENVER, CO --The Denver volleyball team lost Saturday as the UMKC Kangaroos posted a four set (14-25, 25-14, 23-25, 19-25) win at home at the Hamilton Gymnasium.
The loss dropped Denver's record to 16-10 overall and 10-5 in Summit action. The Pioneers wrapped up their home portion of their schedule with a mark of 10-4.
The Pioneers were led by a double-double from Jordan Lockwood, who registered 13 kills and 15 digs on the day. Hailey Green also added 18 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Lorrin Poulter chipped in for with 10 digs to go with four blocks from Brianna Green.

Denver registered a .483 attack percentage with 16 kills in the set win. The Pioneers ended on a strong note, stretching their lead to its largest point in the set to finish out the stanza.
SET 3 | UMKC grabbed a 2-1 match lead after defeating the Pioneers in set three. The Pioneers dropped the set 25-23 despite a strong showing on the attacking end. Denver registered a .500 attack percentage with 16 kills in the set loss.
SET 4 | Denver then dropped the fourth set 25-19 to finish off the match. The Pioneers fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before falling in the set.
