DENVER – University of Denver Volleybal interim head coach
Andrea Beaty announced the signing of Lydia Johnson on Wednesday. The incoming freshman has signed his National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career with the Pioneers.
Johnson comes to the Crimson and Gold by way of Edmonton, where she played at Ross Sheppard High School. She has been a force on the Canadian Youth Volleyball scene, being selected to the U18 Candian Youth National Team in 2021 that attend the World Championships and with the U19 team that competed at the Pan American Cup in July of 2022.
The incoming freshman has also dominated in the classroom, being a five-time award winner for the highest academic award at Ross Sheppard.
Johnson chose the University of Denver because of the welcoming environment and head coach
Tom Hogan and the energy and vision for the team.
The Pioneers are currently in action for the start of the 2022-23 season.
