Pios Close Regular Season at Home vs. Western Illinois Saturday

A win on Saturday or an Omaha loss would give the Pioneers the eighth seed in the Summit League Tournament

DENVER  – The University of Denver women's basketball team wraps up the 2021-22 regular season on Friday when the Pioneers host Western Illinois. Tip is set for 2 p.m. MT. Following the game, the Pioneers will honor their two graduate students (Tess Santos and Indeya Sanders) and their two true seniors (Tsimba Malonga and Anna Jackson).

Who: Denver (9-19, 4-13 Summit) vs. Western Illinois (14-12, 5-10 Summit)
What: Game 29 of the 2021-22 Season
Where: Hamilton Gymnasium (Denver, Colo.)
When: February 26, 2022 – 2 p.m. MT
 
Last Time Out:
Four Pioneers finished in double figures to help Denver erase a nine-point halftime deficit and pull out a 66-63 win over St. Thomas on Thursday night inside Hamilton Gymnasium.
 
Series History:
Denver is 3-15 in its Division I history against Western Illinois, but its 3-4 in the Mile High City against the Leathernecks. The Pioneers have won their last two home games in the series, taking the February, 2020 meeting 84-78 and the February, 2019 meeting 94-85.
