DENVER – The [51] University of Denver women's tennis won its sixth-consecutive match and wrapped up a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Denver Tennis Park with a 4-0 victory over Air Force on Sunday evening at the Denver Tennis Park.
Due to inclement weather, the two teams played clinch, clinch, ending the match when the Pioneers reached the required four points for the victory.
Doubles:
Britt Pursell and
Camille Verden-Anderson earned their sixth-straight victory and improved to 8-3 in the 2022 campaign with a 6-3 win on Denver's top court.
Toni Nelson and
Taylor Melville won their second match together this weekend, taking their match on court two 6-2.
Singles:
Denver earned singles wins on courts two, three and six to cap off the 4-0 win.
Nelson won her match on court six in straight sets, taking the match 6-0, 6-3 to win her fourth-straight and improve to 6-3 on the year.
Pursell continued her hot start to the season with her seventh-straight win, her ninth win in 11 decisions and her 17
th win between singles and doubles this season, winning her match 6-3, 6-2.
Melville wrapped up the match with a 6-2, 6-4 win on court two, her fourth-straight win to send her to 5-4 on the year.
