DENVER – University of Denver Volleyball head coach
Tom Hogan announced the hiring of
Andrea Beaty on Friday. The Pacific, Missouri native will join the Pioneer coaching staff as an Assistant Coach for the upcoming season.
"We are very excited to welcome Andrea to the Denver family," Hogan said. "Andrea has a lot of high-level coaching experience, and her passion, energy and love for coaching our sport and developing student-athletes is extraordinary. Andrea will immediately impact our team and I know that all of Pioneer Nation will love her."
Beaty joins the Crimson and Gold after spending the past season at Syracuse, helping lead the Orange to a 17-13 record.
"I am thrilled and honored to be joining the Pioneer family," Beaty said. "Within moments of talking with Tom, I knew that this was the place I wanted to call home. Denver has everything; a great institution, a staff that works hard and cares about their athletes, and a location that has a great quality of life.
"I have an immense amount of respect for what DU volleyball has already accomplished, and I am pumped to be a part of this next chapter. I would like to thank Tom and Katelin for this great opportunity, and I am eager to get into the gym and start grinding for our goals."
Prior to coaching at Syracuse, Beaty spent two seasons as an assistant coach at UTEP, where she mentored three all-conference performers and was responsible for mentoring the setters and developing the service game plan.
Beaty coached at Saint Francis Borgia High School from 2015 through 2018, leading the program to 100 victories, four district championships, four conference championships and two final four appearances. While at the high school level she mentored six players who went on to play at the collegiate level.
Denver will return to action in preparation for the 2022 season in the fall.
