OMAHA, Neb. – The [65] University of Denver men's tennis team topped Illinois State 4-1 in the Summit League Tournament semifinals on Friday. DU will now compete for the Summit League title on Saturday.
Due to weather conditions, all matches were moved indoors to Miracle Hill Golf & Tennis Center.
Doubles:
Denver won the doubles point off dual 6-3 victories from
Matt Summers and
James Davis on court one and
Charlie Miller and
Daniel Krulig on court two.
Summers and Davis remain undefeated in Summit League play while Miller and Krulig are on a three-match win streak.

After dropping the first singles match, Denver rebounded strong with three straight-sets wins fewer than 10 minutes apart.
As was the case in doubles, Summers contributed to Denver's first singles point of the day, winning 6-3 7-5 on court three. The graduate student is now riding a five-match win streak.
Peter Sallay kept the momentum going on court four, coming through in a second-set tiebreaker to earn a 6-3 7-6(5) win, his third straight.
Nicolas Herrero Cuesta sealed Denver's win just moments after Sallay. The sophomore used two 6-3 set victories on court two to send DU to the final
