Sioux Falls, S.D. – The University of Denver Volleyball team received top billing in the Summit League Preseason Poll on Wednesday. The Pioneers got six first-place votes in the poll, most of any team.
The poll consists of all 10 head coaches and coaches cannot vote for their own team.
Denver is coming off a 23-6 year in 2021, its sixth straight season of posting at least a .770-win percentage under head coach
Tom Hogan.
Seniors
Brianna Green and
Lorrin Poulter were tabbed as "Players to Watch" by the league. Green, a first-team all-league selection in 2020, looks to continue to build on her success from last season, which featured a career-high 167 kills with an efficient .337 hitting percentage. Poulter makes the jump into the starting setter spot for the Pioneers. The Colorado native made history last season, surpassing 1,000 career assists and looks to help power the DU attack on the offensive end.
