DENVER – The Denver Pioneers women's lacrosse team announced today its fall schedule that features nine games in preparation for the 2023 regular-season campaign.
DU begins fall ball this Saturday, Sept. 17 as it hosts Regis University in a local showdown at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
The Pioneers then head up to Boulder for another in-state matchup on Saturday, Oct. 1 as they face the University of Colorado on Kittredge Field at 10 a.m. MT.
Denver's big fall trip comes in the first weekend of October as the Pios travel to the Baltimore, Maryland, area for six games in three days. Following a Friday night scrimmage at Johns Hopkins on Oct. 7, DU will head to USA Lacrosse Headquarters in Sparks, Maryland, for scrimmages against Navy, Boston College and Villanova.
The U.S. Lacrosse Playday matchups will feature two, 25-minute halves with a running clock on Saturday, Oct. 8. Denver faces Navy at noon ET, national champion runner-up Boston College at 1 p.m. ET and Big East-foe Villanova at 3 p.m. ET.
DU wraps up its trip in Maryland on Sunday, Oct. 9 at a Towson Playday event, with outings against High Point at 11:20 a.m. ET and Towson University at 12:40 p.m. ET. Those two games will be played with four, 15-minute quarters and 10 minutes between contests.
The Pioneers wrap up their fall schedule under the lights at Peter Barton Stadium with their annual Alumnae Game on Friday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. MT.
