DENVER, CO --The Denver volleyball team racked up 17 blocks on the way to a 3-1 win (26-24, 25-23, 21-25, 25-21) over the San Francisco Dons Friday at home at Hamilton Gymnasium.
The out-of-conference victory improved Denver's overall record to 5-5 on the season.
The Pioneers offense was paced by Jordan Lockwood, who finished with 14 kills on the day, and by Hailey Green, who had 10. Defensively, had three players reach double figures in digs, including Gianna Bartalo's 19, 13 from Lorrin Poulter, and 11 more from Ryen Wilkens. From the front row, Brianna Green contributed eight blocks and Cadi Boyer added seven rejections.
