DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team will begin the 2023 season as the favorites to win the Summit League, the league announced on Tuesday.
DU topped the Summit League preseason poll with 23 votes including three first-place votes from a head coaches' vote.

Denver junior
Nicolas Herrero Cuesta was named to the 2023 Summit League Men's Tennis Preseason Athletes to Watch List. The Segovia, Spain, native has earned All-Summit League First Team honors in each of his first two seasons and won 16 of his 20 singles matches in 2022.
DU begins its 2023 campaign at (RV) Southern Methodist on Saturday, January 14, at 12 p.m. CT/11 a.m. MT before returning to Denver Tennis Park against UC Davis on Friday, January 20, at 12 p.m. MT.
