Box Score COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – The University of Denver men's tennis player, junior Daniel Sancho Arbizu secured a berth to the 2023 ITA National Fall Championships after advancing to the singles championship match at the 2023 ITA Mountain Regional Championships on Sunday.
 
No. 3-seeded Sancho Arbizu started the day with a three-set victory in the semifinals over No. 9-seeded Stijn Paardekooper from Utah State. The DU junior won the first set in a tiebreak but conceded a late break in the second to find himself in a deciding set, which he would win, 6-3, to move into the singles final.
 
In that championship match later in the day, Sancho Arbizu again won the first set but ultimately could not hold off the comeback from the No. 4 seed Bodin Zarkovic, also from Utah State.
 
Sancho Arbizu will now be one of 32 men's players at the ITA National Fall Championships, set for November 1-5 in San Diego, California.
