OMAHA, NE --The Denver volleyball team lost to the Omaha Mavericks 3-0 (22-25, 21-25, 21-25) Wednesday on the road at Baxter Arena.
The loss dropped Denver's record to 6-9 overall and 5-2 in Summit League action.
Cassie Davis finished with 11 kills on the day to lead the Pioneers offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .261. The Pios got 10 digs from Gianna Bartalo to lead them defensively.

SET 1 | The Pioneers found themselves in an early deficit, dropping the first set 25-22. Denver trailed by as many as six points as Omaha grabbed the advantage for good at 2-1 in a set that was knotted up just once before the Mavericks took control.
SET 2 | A 25-21 set-two loss put Denver in a 2-0 deficit in the match. The Pioneers trailed by as many as eight points as Omaha grabbed the advantage for good at 14-13 in a set that was knotted up seven times before the Mavericks took over in the second half of the stanza.
SET 3 | Omaha finished off the sweep with a third-set victory. The Pioneers dropped the set 25-21 despite a strong performance on the attacking end. Denver put together a .355 attack percentage with 12 kills in the set loss.
