DU Men’s Tennis’ Herrero Cuesta Falls in ITA All-American Round of 64

Denver senior drops match to No. 5-ranked player in the country

Box Score TULSA, Oklahoma – University of Denver men's tennis player and senior Nicolas Herrero Cuesta fell in the round of 64 of the singles main draw at the 2023 ITA All-American Championships on Wednesday.
 
No. 111-ranked Herrero Cuesta faced the No. 4 seed and No. 5 ranked player in the country, Sebastian Dominko from Notre Dame. After dropping the first set, 6-3, Herrero Cuesta forced an extended tiebreak in the second set but ultimately lost it, 9-7.
 
The Denver senior will continue play in Tulsa with a consolation match against Pablo Alemany from the University of Memphis on Thursday morning.
