MOSCOW, Idaho --The University of Denver men's basketball team got a three-pointer with six seconds to go from Isaiah Addo-Ankrah to complete its second-half comeback and defeat Idaho 67-65 on Wednesday night at ICCU Arena.
The Pioneers (5-3), who trailed by as many as 12 in the second half, had three players score in double figures, led by Addo-Ankrah, who had 18 points and seven rebounds. Touko Tainamo added 16 points and six rebounds and Tommy Bruner chipped in as well with 14 points, five assists and two steals.
Led by Isaiah Carr's four offensive rebounds, Denver did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 12 boards that resulted in 15 second chance points.
Denver did a great job disrupting Idaho shots in the contest, coming away with seven blocks. Carr led the way individually for the Pioneers with four rejections.

- Denver improved to 4-0 all-time vs. Idaho
- The Pioneers turned 12 offensive rebounds into 15 second chance points. DU had double digit offensive rebounds for the fifth-straight game.
- Denver had single digit turnovers for the fourth time in the last five games.

How It Happened:
After jumping out to a 9-4 advantage, Denver went on an 8-0 run with 16:32 left in the first half, culminating in a three from Pedro Lopez Sanvicente, to increase its lead to 17-4. The Pioneers then surrendered that lead and entered halftime down 34-32.
Idaho kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 60-54 advantage before Denver went on a 7-0 run, finished off by Bruner's layup, to seize a 61-60 lead with 2:23 to go in the contest. The lead changed hands a couple more times before setting up the final possession. With Denver down one with 16 seconds to go, DeAndre Craig rebounded the front end of a Vandals' 1-and-1. Jaxon Brenchley's fifth assist of the night found a wide-open Addo-Ankrah who buried his sixth three of the night to give Denver a two-point lead. Idaho had one final chance, but after hitting the game-winning shot, Addo-Ankrah blocked a desperation three to end the game.
