Alex Simmons and Ethan Walker teamed up for seven goals and eight assists in Albany’s 17-13 win over Buffalo
DENVER – The University of Denver men's lacrosse program had 12 former players in action in the NLL last weekend, combining for 42 points in a wild week two in the league.
Mark Matthews had four goals and a helper in his long-awaited Toronto debut. TD Ierlan went 17-for-21 with 13 loose balls and Josh Dawick added three assists in the Rock's 11-7 win over Philadelphia.
Alex Simmons backed up his stellar debut last week with an eight-point night on Saturday night, scoring five goals and adding three helpers in his team's four-goal win. Ethan Walker added two goals and five assists in the Albany victory over Buffalo.
Brendan Bomberry and Zach Miller combined for five points in Georgia's 16-10 win over defending-champion Colorado.
The final game of Saturday night saw four Pioneers in action. San Diego captain Wes Berg had a goal and three assists, Trevor Baptiste went 20-for-27 from the stripe and Danny Logan had six loose balls, two caused turnovers and an assist in San Diego's 12-9 win over Calgary. Tyler Pace had four goals and a helper in the losing effort for the Roughnecks.
Jack Hannah had a goal and three assists to go with five loose balls in the final game of the weekend, an 11-10 overtime victory over Panther City.
