PROVO, Utah – The University of Denver men's basketball team dropped the second of a back-to-back against nationally ranked teams by a count of 90-74 at [17/18] BYU on Wednesday night at the Marriott Center.
Brenchley added seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals to his 21 point game to lead the Pioneers (6-5). DeAndre Craig helped out with nine points and three steals and Tommy Bruner chipped in with 15 points and two steals.
Pedro Lopez Sanvicente pulled down three offensive rebounds to lead the Denver offense which grabbed 11 boards and turned them into nine second chance points.

Denver had five players finish with 8+ points Wednesday night.
Pedro Lopez-Sanvicente made his fourth career start on Wednesday night, and his first since December 22, 2021 vs. St. Thomas.
Jaxon Brenchley finished with a career-high 21 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists.
-        Brenchley finished in double figures for the sixth time this season and the 10th time in his career.
-        Brenchley finished with 20+ points for the first time in his career.
Tommy Bruner finished with 15 points.
-        Bruner finished in double figures for the 13th-straight game and the 83rd time in his career.
DeAndre Craig finished with 9 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
-        Craig finished with 3+ steals for the third time in his freshman season.
How It Happened:
Denver struggled out of the gate, falling behind 45-25 heading into halftime.
BYU kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing an 88-64 advantage before Denver went on a 6-0 run, finished off by Ben Bowen's layup, to shrink the deficit to 88-70 with 58 seconds to go in the contest. Denver took care of business in the paint in the second half, recording 28 of its 49 points in the lane.
