DENVER – The University of Denver women's basketball program will begin its Summit League Tournament journey on Friday afternoon when the seventh-seeded Pioneers take on the 10
th-seeded Roos from Kansas City. Tip on Friday is set for 3 p.m. CT/2 p.m. MT on ESPN+.

SERIES HISTORY:
Denver holds a 7-6 lead in the all-time series, and swept the 2022-23 league season series between the two programs. Denver won 73-60 at Kansas City on December 29 before winning 69-60 in Hamilton Gymnasium nearly a month later. Friday marks the first meeting between the two programs in the Summit League Tournament.

The Pioneers had three players finish in double figures, led by a 26-point afternoon from freshman guard
Emma Smith, but Denver dropped the regular season finale at Omaha 83-73 last Saturday.
