ELKHART, Ind. – University of Denver men's and women's swimmers swam in the second of three finals sessions on Friday at the 2023 CSCAA National Invitational Championships on Thursday at the Beacon Health Aquatic Center.
Through 30 events of the championships, Denver's women moved up to 10
th place out of 54 scoring teams in the meet. Denver's men sit 20
th heading into the final day of competition tomorrow.
Denver's women opened the night with a 13
th place finish in the 200 medley relay as
Gaby Antonini,
Jessica Maeda,
Erika Remington and
Megan Lucyshyn combined for a time of 1:41.97.
Marco Nosack swam in the first individual event final of the night, taking 13
th in the 400 IM with his 3:52.84.
Mina Ada Solaker earned seventh in the A-Final of the 400 IM, clocking in at 4:20.38.
Ines Marin improved five spots in Friday night's finals session, taking fifth in the 200 free with a 1:47.66.
Maeda finished 15
th in the women's 100 breast after swimming the event in 1:02.17.
Antonini clocked in at 55.38 in the 100 back to take 16
th.
Kieran Watson,
Dylan Wright,
Daniel Pineiro and Nosack combined for a time of 6:38.54 in the 800 free relay to take 14
th in the event.
Denver's women swam all the way to fifth place in the 800 free relay, when Marin, Maeda,
Daniela Alfaro and Metuzals swam the event in 7:20.35.
