DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team (8-7) will host its final non-conference match when it welcomes New Mexico to Denver Tennis Park on Saturday, March 25, at 1:30 p.m. MT.
Last Time Out:
DU faced its second nationally-ranked team of the season on Wednesday, falling 5-2 at No. 37 UTSA. Denver dropped the doubles point but captured wins in the top two singles matches with a straight-sets victory for junior
Nicolas Herrero Cuesta in No. 2 singles and a win in a match tiebreak for sophomore
Daniel Sancho Arbizu in No. 1 singles.
Series History:
Denver holds an 8-7 record against New Mexico, winning the last two matches. The teams' most recent match came on March 12, 2021, at UNM, a 4-2 victory for Denver. New Mexico last made the trip to Denver on April 21, 2019, in a match that DU also won, 4-3.
DU hosted UNM in the fall during the Denver Hidden Duals, finishing with a sweep of all nine matches played between singles and doubles combined.
