LOS ANGELES – The University of Denver men's tennis team (6-6) swept Boise State, 4-0, in a neutral-site match hosted by Loyola Marymount on Saturday.
Doubles:
For the second day in a row, Denver won the doubles point after victories on courts 2 and 3. Denver's No. 2 team of junior
Nicolas Herrero Cuesta and redshirt senior
Anish Sriniketh dropped their first game but would not lose another game in route to a 6-1 win. In No. 3 doubles, freshman
Raffaello Papajcik and sophomore
Daniel Sancho Arbizu recovered from an early break down with five-straight games before taking the win, 6-3.
Singles:
The first three singles matches to complete went to the Pioneers to give DU the win. In No. 4 singles, graduate student

Herrero Cuesta dropped just one more game than Olsen, finishing 6-2 6-3 in No. 1 singles. In both sets, he found himself with 5-2 leads before closing each out.
The clinching point came from Sancho Arbizu, who took over the No. 3 singles spot for the first time this season. After breaking midway through the first set to take the quick match lead, he twice traded breaks with Boise State's James Van Herzeele before gaining his first lead of the set at 6-5 and closing it out in the following game.
