DENVER – The [11/12] University of Denver men's lacrosse program will open a two-game east coast swing on Thursday when the Pioneers head to Johnny Unitas Stadium to take on Towson. Faceoff is set for 5 p.m. MT on Lacrosse TV.
DI Series History vs. Towson
Denver holds a 5-4 edge in the all-time series, and has won each of the last four meetings, including back-to-back one-goal wins in the Pioneers last two trips to Towson. Denver won 12-9 at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium last March, the program's first meeting since before COVID-19.

Bill Tierney Day at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium last Saturday. The Pioneers used a 10-1 run in the middle stages of the game to pull away from the Wildcats.

Head coach
Bill Tierney will roam the Denver sidelines for his 14
th and final season in 2023. Tierney enters the game at 162-58 at DU and 434-151 in his 39
th season as a college head lacrosse coach. Following the game, the program will host a postgame reception to honor the legendary head coach.
All Across the Country
The 2023 Denver Pioneers have players from 19 different states, bringing the program's total in the Division I era to 35 different states. The 2023 Pioneers added three new states to the program's list: Iowa (
Michael Provenza), Kansas (
Cade Eldred) and Utah (
Chris Caldwell).
