No. 63 DU Men’s Tennis Set for Final Week of Regular Season

Denver hosts Omaha, travels to North Dakota for final regular-season matches

DENVER – The No. 63-ranked University of Denver men's tennis team (12-7) will finish the regular season with two Summit League matches, first hosting Omaha on Friday, April 14, at 2 p.m. MT. DU will then travel to North Dakota on Sunday, April 16, at 10 a.m. CT/9 a.m. MT.
 
Denver can win its seventh Summit League regular-season with one win in either match.
 
Last Time Out:
DU earned two more Summit League wins with a 7-0 sweep at Oral Roberts and a 6-1 win at Illinois State on April 7 and April 9, respectively. Denver won the doubles point in both matches before going 11-1 in singles – eight of them in straight sets.
 
Series History:
Omaha: Denver is 11-0 against Omaha and has swept the Mavericks in the last two matches. They last met on April 10, 2022, at UNO in a 7-0 win for Denver. Their last meeting in Denver was in the 2022 Summit League Final, a 4-0 win for DU. Omaha last made the trip to Denver in the regular season on April 8, 2021, when DU won, 6-1.
 
North Dakota: DU holds a 4-0 record against North Dakota, most recently winning 6-1 at home on March 27, 2022. Denver's last trip to UND was April 11, 2021, which was a 5-2 win for DU.
 
Up Next:
The 2023 Summit League Women's Tennis Championship will be held April 21-22, hosted by Oral Roberts. DU can clinch a spot in the tournament and can secure the top seed with a win against either Omaha or North Dakota.
