DU Adds Cassie Davis for 2023

Highlands Ranch native comes home after transferring from Baylor

DENVER  – University of Denver Volleyball announced the signing of Cassie Davis on Friday. The incoming graduate student will join the Pioneers for the upcoming 2023 season in the fall.

Davis returns back home to Colorado after spending the past three seasons at Baylor. While there, the Highlands Ranch native was a two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team member and was recent named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team.

On the court, Davis appeared in 29 matches for the highly-talented Bears in her career there. The 6-foot-4 outside hitter had her best season yet at BU in 2022, playing in 21 matches as part of a team that finished the season 25-7. She had a season-high five kills against Sam Houston State earlier in the year.

Coming out of high school at Highlands Ranch, Davis was a two-time Two-time First Team All-Continental League selection, a 2018 AVCA All-Region honoree while setting a school record with 560 kills as a senior in 2019. Her 560 kills in a single season ranks seventh all-time in Colorado state history. Davis also ranks 11th all-time in Colorado with 648 total points in 2019 season and 1623.5 total points in her career.

The Pioneers are currently in their spring season.
