NORMAL, Illinois – The No. 66-ranked University of Denver men's tennis team (12-7) added a 6-1 win at Illinois State on Sunday morning, the team's second Summit League win of the weekend,
Doubles:
The doubles point came down to a tiebreak in the No. 2 spot after DU and ISU split the first two doubles matches. Graduate student
Conner Olsen and junior
Nicolas Herrero Cuesta won 6-4 in No. 3 doubles after teaming up for the second time, though Illinois State took the No. 1 match, 6-4.
Denver's team of sophomore
Daniel Sancho Arbizu and freshman
Raffaello Papajcik earned the doubles point for DU, coming out on top in a tiebreak, 7-2.
Singles:
DU got off to a fast start in singles with each Herrero Cuesta and fellow junior
Peter Sallay capturing a bagel and losing a combined three games in No. 1 and No. 3 singles, respectively.
Like Herrero Cuesta, Sancho Arbizu won his eighth-straight singles match with a 6-2 6-3 victory in No. 2 singles. The duo now both sit at 15-4 in singles play so far this year. Junior
Charlie Miller also extended his win streak, now up to four, with a win at No. 6 singles.
ISU claimed its only win of the day in No. 5 singles, leaving only Olsen's No. 4 singles match to finish. After dropping the first set, the graduate student rallied to win the second and force an extended match tiebreak, which Olsen would claim, 13-11.

No. 66 Denver closes the regular season with its final home match of the season, hosting Omaha on Friday, April 14, before heading to North Dakota on Sunday, April 16.
