DENVER – The University of Denver volleyball program has added sophomore Emma Mirabelli to its 2023 roster, head coach Megan Pendergast announced on Wednesday.
Mirabelli played in eight matches in her freshman season at Purdue Fort Wayne before suffering a season-ending injury. The Traverse City, Michigan, native had 18 kills, including a season-high six against Wright State.
"I am so excited for Emma to be joining our roster," Pendergast said. "Emma possesses skill sets that set her up to become a truly outstanding player, and I cannot wait to see her unleash her potential during her time at Denver.
What sets Emma apart is not only her exceptional talent on the court but also her remarkable level of maturity and wisdom beyond her years. Her ability to make a positive impact in the locker room and contribute to our team is remarkable. I am confident that her presence will contribute immensely to our team dynamics, fostering a supportive and motivated environment where every player can thrive."
Mirabelli's sister, Molly Mirabelli, signed with the Pioneers on Tuesday.
