CU claimed held a 1-0 lead at halftime, converting a penalty shot on its second attempt after Denver freshman
Molly Wissman saved the first but was ruled off her line to give CU a second chance at it.
Less than five minutes into the second half, Colorado earned and converted a second penalty kick to go up 2-0. DU drew its own penalty shot in the 59

Kaitlyn Glover netting her fourth goal of the year to pull Denver within one, but CU reclaimed the two-goal lead minutes later off a set piece.
SIGNIFICANT STATS:
- For the sixth time through the first eight matches, DU outshot its opponent, 18-10.
- Denver also led the match in corner kicks (5-2) and time of possession (55%-45%).
- Glover's converted PK was DU's third in the last three matches.
- At least one penalty shot has now been awarded to either team in four of DU's previous five matches.
- Senior Vanessa Murray and junior Samantha Dreiling each had a match-high four shot attempts, a new career high for each Pioneer.
- DU welcomed a crowd of 1,761, its largest since setting the all-time DU Soccer – men's or women's – single-match attendance record of 1,837 on September 23, 2022.
FIRST HALF:
10' | Glover took Denver's second shot of the day from the edge of the penalty area, but it ricocheted off the right post.

Jordan Crockett was called for a foul inside Denver's box, giving CU a penalty shot. Wissman made the save with a dive to her right, but the referee said she jumped off her line early. Colorado's Babcock-Chi took the second attempt and converted.
SECOND HALF:
50' | Colorado's Rosen converted its second penalty shot of the night after another Crockett foul inside the box.
54' | Murray curled a shot near the right corner of the penalty area, but CU's keeper tipped up clear.
59' | Denver drew a foul inside the 18-yard box to earn its own penalty shot. Glover stepped to the line and put it in the back of the net to pull Denver within one.
61' | Off the set piece, CU's James headed the ball toward the net and snuck it past Wissman.
69' | Just before the media stoppage, freshman
Michaela McGowan tried to curl one in from a deep angle on the left side of the box but watched it inch wide of the right post.
