Pioneers Rack up 12 blocks in Victory over North Dakota

Denver swept the Fighting Hawks at Home in its Summit League Opener

DENVER, CO --The Denver Pioneers totaled 12 blocks en route to a 3-0 sweep (25-21, 25-18, 25-17) against the North Dakota Fighting Hawks Thursday at home in their Summit League Opener.

The conference victory improved Denver's record to 2-7 overall and 1-0 in Summit League play.

Cassie Davis finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Pioneers attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .563. The Pios got 14 digs from Gianna Bartalo along with six blocks from Cadi Boyer and five rejections from Molly Mirabelli to lead them defensively.
