COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – The University of Denver men's tennis team will have two student-athletes in the singles quarterfinals of the 2023 ITA Mountain Regional Championship on Saturday.
 
Junior Daniel Sancho Arbizu and graduate student Marvin Schaber both won their round of 32 matches in three sets to move into the round of 16 on Friday. No. 3-seeded Sancho Arbizu won his round of 16 match in straight sets to book his spot into the quarterfinals while No. 16-seeded Schaber came back from a set down to advance to Saturday's play.
 
In doubles, Sancho Arbizu and his partner Nicolas Herrero Cuesta fell to the No. 2 seed in the quarterfinals.
 
Play continues on Saturday with the doubles semifinals and the singles quarterfinals, beginning at 9 a.m. MT.
