COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – The University of Denver men's tennis player, junior
Daniel Sancho Arbizu will play in the singles semifinals of the 2023 ITA Mountain Regional Championships following his quarterfinal victory on Saturday.
The No. 3-seeded Sancho Arbizu lost just three games in his quarterfinal match against No. 7-seeded Sergi Mico Fenollar from Utah State.
Denver graduate student
Marvin Schaber also played in Saturday's quarterfinals, but his comeback attempt against the No. 4 seed came up short as he lost in three sets.
Schaber did collect two wins in his added doubles matches with his partner, senior
Peter Sallay, taking down Barnett/Owen from BYU before losing just two games to Rossi/Citadini from Utah.
Play continues on Sunday with the doubles final and the singles semifinals, beginning at 9 a.m. MT.
