DENVER – The [17/19] University of Denver men's soccer team opens the final weekend of its six-match, three-weekend homestand on Friday when the Pioneers welcome UC San Diego to the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. Kickoff on the Summit League Network is set for 7 p.m. MT.

Last Time Out:
Denver got first-half goals from Holger Olsson and Sam Bassett, but an 86th minute free kick from Creight was good for its second of two equalizers on the evening to earn a 2-2 draw on Monday night at DU Soccer Stadium.
The Series:
Denver won the first and only previous meeting between the two programs last fall, defeating UC San Diego 2-0 nearly 12 months ago. The sixth-ranked Pioneers got goals from Sam Bassett and Trevor Wright to earn the 2-0 victory.
The Franks Foundation:
Jack and Sheila Weinberg Head Men's Soccer Coach Jamie Franks is 99-33-25 as a head coach at Denver, 134-50-33 in his 12 years overall with the Pioneers and 233-77-50 in his time as a player and a coach in college soccer. A win on Friday would make Franks the second coach in program history to reach the century mark in career wins.
Pios at Home:
Denver is 92-21-17 at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium, including 82-10-11 since Franks joined the staff as an assistant in 2012 and 57-8-8 since he took over as head coach in 2015.
