Denver Men’s Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule

The Pioneers will play eight non-conference matches and eight WCC matches in the program’s inaugural season in the West Coast Conference

DENVER – The University of Denver men's soccer program finalized its 2026 schedule, Jack and Sheila Weinberg Head Men's Soccer Coach Jamie Franks announced on Thursday. Denver will officially become a competing member of the West Coast Conference on July 1, and will open its inaugural conference slate in the WCC on September 26 when the Pioneers travel to San Diego.

Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at the link to the right.

DU will open its campaign at home on August 20, when the Pioneers welcome Cal Poly to the University of Denver Soccer Stadium for a 7 p.m. MT kickoff. Denver will follow up its home opener with five of its next six away from home against some of the top programs in the country. The Pioneers begin that road stretch and close out the opening weekend at Stanford on August 23.

Denver's second weekend of the regular season will also take place in California with the Crimson and Gold battling it out against UCLA on August 28 and Cal Baptist for the Preston Judd Derby on August 31.

The Pioneers will return home to begin the third weekend of the regular season to host Tulsa for Friday Night Futbol on the DU campus. Denver will wrap-up week three at Indiana for a rare Monday night clash in Bloomington.

DU closes out its stretch of five of six away from home on September 11 when the Pioneers make the trip out east to take on West Virginia.

Denver will have nearly a week and a half off before it closes out non-conference play on September 22 at home against Creighton. The Tuesday night match is set to kickoff at 6 p.m. MT.

DU will open WCC play at San Diego on September 26 and will begin the home portion of its conference schedule on October 3 against LMU. Denver will close the regular season at home on November 6 against Seattle.

The West Coast Conference will host a men's soccer tournament for the first time in 2026, with the top four teams traveling to the top seed in the field. Semifinal matches will be played on Wednesday, November 11, and the final will be played on Saturday, November 14.

Including the addition of Denver to the West Coast Conference, the WCC will have seven teams that finished in the top 105 of the RPI last season, including four that finished in the top 50 and three that were in the top 20.

Including the non-conference slate, Denver will play 14 of its 16 matches against teams that finished in the top 111 of the RPI last season, including eight that finished in the top 50 and five that finished in the top 25.

Denver will open WCC play with all three matchups against last year's top-50 in a four-game stretch. The Pioneers will make trips to both No. 9 San Diego and No. 10 Portland. Denver will host No. 42 San Francisco at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
