KANSAS CITY, MO -- Molly Mirabelli collected a career-high 19 kills with a .720 attack percentage to help propel the Denver volleyball team to a 3-1 victory (25-23, 25-16, 22-25, 25-18) against UMKC, Saturday at the Swinney Center.
The conference victory improved Denver's record to 8-9 overall and 3-4 in Summit play.
The Pioneers were led by a double-double from Ava Reynolds, who registered 11 kills and 11 digs on the day. Mirabelli also added 19 kills to help the offense. On the defensive end, Alayna Finucan chipped in for with 15 digs to go with four blocks from Kate Perryman.

SET 2 | Denver took the second set 25-16 to quickly grab a 2-0 lead. The Pioneers grabbed the set powered by a strong showing on the attacking end. Denver registered a .333 attack percentage with 14 kills in the set win. The Pioneers opened up a 20-9 lead in the stanza and coasted to victory from there. The Denver offense also got a boost from four aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | Denver couldn't end the match in a sweep, dropping the third set to make their lead two sets to one in the match. The Pioneers dropped the set 25-22 in spite of a strong showing on the attacking side. Denver registered a .407 attack percentage with 15 kills in the set loss.
